Ofsted representatives would like to discuss the Big Listen with independent and non-maintained special schools.
The Big Listen is an opportunity for Ofsted to hear from the professionals they work with, including teachers and other educators, carers, and social workers, and the people they work for: parents, carers, children and learners.
Across each part of the Big Listen, they ask about four themes of their work:
1) How Ofsted reports inspection findings.
2) Inspections practice and how Ofsted inspects.
3) How Ofsted can have a positive impact on the sectors they inspect.
4) What Ofsted need to do to be a world-class inspectorate and regulator, trusted by parents, children and the sectors they work with – Ofsted’s culture.
Ofsted will be particularly interested to hear views on the Education Inspection Framework, judgements, and (where they apply to members) their interaction with the Independent School Standards.
